Know the identifier
Retailer item IDs, seller SKUs, model numbers, UPCs and GTINs are not interchangeable. Confirm the label and destination format.
Target the value
Choose the element containing the identifier. If the label shares the element, use regex to extract only the expected pattern.
A repeatable copy action is most valuable when the source layout is consistent and the result is still verified by a person.
Handle leading zeros
Format spreadsheet columns as text so leading zeros are not silently removed.
Create separate marketplace rules
Keep independent domain rules for retailer pages, supplier portals and internal systems.
Verify a sample
- Compare against the visible label
- Check digit count
- Test missing identifiers
- Confirm variants do not reuse the wrong value
